Atrial fibrillation (A-fib) is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots in the heart. A-fib increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. Later in this post I’ll tell you about Atrial Fibrillation and Yoga, why doctors recommend it. It’s Great!

Some Facts About A-Fib Around the Globe
The number of Americans that have it is over 6.1 million and Atrial Fibrillation will double in 8 years to 12 million by 2030 according to the Harris Poll.
More recently it was said that 16 million people will have it in about 10 to 15 years. (Dr. Dave Albert who is responsible (along with partners) for building the KardiaMobile EKG Device.)
What I do is research the causes, effects, medications, procedures, surgeries, and mostly ways to cope with your daily lives with A-Fib, then I put it all together and bring it you.
I have A-Fib and did for many years before I was diagnosed. Turns out it was too late for me to reverse the disease and I ended up with a pacemaker at 58 years old.

A-Fib is being called a new epidemic, so you see, my calling is to inform the public and reach out to help them before it’s too late for a huge number of U.S. Citizens and worldwide.

I also got into yoga to calm stress and it’s been really good for me, and doctors are recommending it to their patients. I was in the late stage of A-Fib when I started Yoga. It helped me to strengthen my muscle mass that I lost in the 3 years prior.
Yoga brings an inner peace and calmness to your psyche and It’s a great way to work out and it also decreases stress, lowering your heart rate. That’s the main reason doctors recommend it, because stress is a main trigger for A-Fib episodes.
