If you don’t have a glue gun, they’re fairly inexpensive at Arts & Craft stores. Do you have a holly tree in your yard? Maybe an evergreen tree, and most always during the winter season you have blown down branches, dried up flowers, twigs and pine cones.
While you’re at the Arts & Craft store, buy some colorful dried flowers to add your touch. You can start there by simply glueing your finds onto the ring. Only cover one side for a more elegant style.
Now that you’ve made your wreath, add some dainty twinkling lights and hang it on your front door, it will surely get you in the mood for the Holiday’s. Can you believe workshops charge you $35.00-$45.00 to teach this? You can also go online to get some ideas, in case you don’t have a holly tree or evergreen in your yard.

Northwest Traditon for Over 70 Years Argosy Christmas Ship Festival is a ship-to-shore holiday celebration that has been a Northwest tradition since 1949. The “Spirit of Seattle” the Official Christmas Ship, is decorated with hundreds of shimmery white lights and sails to different Puget Sound waterfront communities. around 40. Choirs on board perform to guests aboard, to follow boats, and to communities gathered on shore.

Prep time 40 min /Total 3 hr 45 min /Servings 8
Ingredients
Crust
Filling
- 6cups sliced peeled apples
- 3cups sliced peeled fresh peaches or 1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches, drained
- 1tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 3/4cup granulated sugar (You can cut the sugar in half)
- 1/2cup pie filling enhancer (thickener)
- 1tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2teaspoon salt
- 1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1cup fresh or frozen (partially thawed) blueberries
- 1/2teaspoon vanilla
Crumb Topping
- 1cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4teaspoon salt
- 1/2cup unsalted butter, cold
- 1/2teaspoon milk
- Coarse sugar
Steps
- 1Heat oven to 400°F. Make pie crusts as directed on box for Two-Crust Pie using 9-inch deep dish glass pie plate. In large bowl, place apples and peaches. Add lemon juice; toss to coat.
- 2In medium bowl, mix 3/4 cup granulated sugar, the pie filling enhancer, cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples and peaches; toss to mix well. Gently stir in blueberries and vanilla. Spoon into crust-lined plate.
- 3In another medium bowl, place all crumb topping ingredients except milk and coarse sugar. With pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Sprinkle topping on pie; press down lightly.
- 4To make lattice top, cut second crust into 1/2-inch-wide strips with pastry cutter. Place half of the strips across filling in pie plate. Weave remaining strips with first strips to form lattice. Trim ends of strips even with edge of bottom crust. Fold trimmed edge of bottom crust over ends of strips, forming a high stand-up rim. Seal and flute. Brush lattice strips with milk and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- 5Cover crust with sheet of foil to prevent excessive browning; bake 30 minutes. Remove foil; reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Bake 35 to 40 minutes longer or until top is golden brown. Cool at least 2 hours before serving.
