Features-Fitbit Versa 2 Fitness Smartwatch
Watches that have this many activities for the price it’s offering is a hit right from the start. The Fitbit Versa 2 Fitness Smartwatch does 95% of other watches for a quarter of the price!
Great for those of you who are interested in health and fitness tracking and less about smartwatch feature’s glam and shiney objects.
The accessible price and awesome battery life make it a perfect choice for users who want to try the smartwatch concept for the first time.
“The Fibit Versa 2 Fitness Smartwatch earns a Best Buy recommendation in Consumer Reports tests, because it performs well across the board and offers an array of smartwatch features at a price that’s more typical of a fitness tracker”.
“The Versa 2 Fitness Smartwatch was introduced in late 2019, is an older model so it does require a few sacrifices, compared to its newer and costlier smartwatch competitors. For example, it lacks stand alone GPS, so you’ll need to bring your phone along to track your distance and location while you’re on a run or bicycle”.
The Versa 2 lacks the stress monitoring sensors that are found on the more expensive Fitbit Luxe and newer, more expensive Charge 5 Tracker.
The Versa 2 heart rate monitor was found to be accurate and easy to pair with headphones, compatible with Android and iPhone. It also featured a smaller 1.39 inch display with a 300 x 300 resolution screen.
Fitbit Versa 3 Fitness Smartwatch
Features-Fitbit Versa 3 Fitness Smartwatch
I would be more prone to purchasing the Versa 3, it was made after the Versa 2 and it delivered. Softer lines and increased comfort with a slightly larger 1.58 inch display and a 336 x 336 resolution which means it’s able to show more detailed graphs, sharper graphics and more text at once.
The Versa 3 has ample health features, and improves on its predecessor with a larger screen, integrated GPS for pace and distance tracking, a blood oxygen (SpO) sensor and fast charging.
The biggest difference between the two smartwatches is that the Versa 3 has its own on-board GPS, while the Versa 2 has to use your phone’s GPS receiver.
That means you can still go for a walk or run without your phone, and still have your route, distance and speed tracked. Watches with on-board GPS also tend to give more accurate results than those that rely on a smartphone connection, making Versa 3 a better choice.
Both the Versa 2 and Versa 3 have 24/7 heart rate tracking, plus all day step tracking. They also have auto-track if they detect that you’ve started your workout without beginning tracking manually.
They both monitor your sleep, giving you a report on your sleep patterns and quality in the Fitbit smatphone app each morning.
Which one is Better, The Fitbit Versa 2 or Versa 3?
One is no better than the other, they just have some differences so the Fitbit Versa 2 or Versa 3 depends on what you need from your Fitbit. They are both great products and you can attain them affordably.
Both Smartwatches can track breathing rate, but only the Versa 3 has a pre-installed app that offers guided breathing sessions. Great if you have sleep apnea ( Breifly stop breathing in your sleep) or Atrial Fibrillation (irregular heart beat). The Fitbit app can produce reports you can share with your doctor.
Both the Versa 2 and Versa 3 support Amazon Alexa, but the Versa 2 is also compatible with Google Assistance, making it the best coice if your house is equipped with Google Home smart device.
There are also differences when it comes to music. Both watches allow you to control your Spotify playlist from your wrist (with subscription), and the Versa 3 supports streaming from Deezer. Fitbit Versa 2 has storage for up to 300 songs, Versa 3 doesn’t.
If you like streaming a lot of songs, I’d say go for the Versa 2. If you want built-in GPS, go for Versa 3. It’s really a matter of your expectations and choices of your own regimens when it comes to exercising, walking or running, etc..
You have the differences between the two, both great products, both durable and integratable. The price on the Versa 3 is not far from the price on the Versa 2.
The Versa 2 came out in September of 2019, and the Versa 3 came out in September of 2020, since then, there is a new Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness Smartwatch. It might be worth your while to check out if these aren’t doing it for you.
The price of the Versa 2 and Versa 3 are down because of the Versa 4 that was recently introduced, so that’s something to also keep in mind.
Wish you the best,
